I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Political Economy at University College London. I teach in UCL’s Department of Political Science (School of Public Policy), as well as in the Department of European Social and Political Studies.

Before joining UCL, I received my PhD in political science at Stony Brook University in New York. Originally from Paderborn, Germany, I studied ‘politics and administration’ at the University of Konstanz, and the University of Pavia in Italy, and worked for the OECD in Paris. You can view my full CV here.

My research interests are in political economy, comparative politics, public opinion and elections. A list of publications and current research projects can be found in the research section of the website.

I have taught several graduate and undergraduate courses at University College London and Stony Brook University. Syllabi for these courses are in the teaching section of the site.
